Free Ride Maps...
The Madison Area Bicycle Club has compiled local cycling route maps around the Madison and Jefferson County Indiana area. We post these so you, too, can have the opportunity to ride these routes anytime you wish. Some of these routes are a part of our regular Ride Calendar while others are less regularly traveled.

The Madison Area Bicycle Club does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of these maps, nor the safety of the routes they describe; we recommend you utilize other local maps to assist you in seeing the countryside and taking alternate routes where desired….

Rides to the North & West of Madison
These tend to be flatter terrain
- Thursday Night Ride (77kb) 9 miles, West of Madison, gentle terrain
- Monday Morning Ride (43kb) ~40 miles, West of Hanover, gentle terrain
- Sunday Morning Ride (76kb) Up to 40 miles, Southwest of Hanover, gentle terrain
- Dupont Deputy Ride (94kb) 41 miles, West of Madison, gentle terrain
- Stream Cliff Local Rides (98kb) 17.5, 32 and 40 mile loops over gentle terrain from Stream Cliff Herb Farm in Commiskey, IN, taking in Deputy, Eleutherian College, a scenic covered bridge and alternately, Dupont.
Rides near Madison
- Family & Friends Ride (20kb) 5-10 miles, Madison’s hilltop, flat terrain
- Park in the Dark Ride (27kb) ~10 miles, Clifty Falls State Park, rolling terrain
Rides North & East of Madison
These tend to be hillier terrain unless along the Ohio River
- Joe’s Crazy Eight Ride (116kb) 25 miles, JPG, Northeast of Madison, rolling terrain, 3 significant climbs
- Friday Morning Ride (142kb) ~40 miles, Northeast of Madison, rolling terrain, several significant climbs
Rides South & West of Madison
These rides are South of Hanover and include a mix of flat terrain with some hilly options “
- Hanover Local Ride (59kb) 19 mile loop over flat terrain from Southwestern Elementary, including Saluda, Chelsea, optionally Logan’s Point and Hanover College.)
- Tuesday Night Ride (144kb) 19 miles, South of Hanover flat terrain
Rides South & East of Madison
These tend to be in Kentucky ! “
- Carroll County Tourism Route (118kb) ~50 mile Carroll County loop over rolling terrain. Cue sheet available from Carroll County Tourism Office based on a motor route. We recommend following the red arrows on the map to minimize distance on busy roads.)

Our Meander ride has been conducted annually and is open to the public. These maps are from several years ago and the routes are no longer marked.
